Yesterday, 12/06/2022, Gabriel found a Turkey Vulture on the back of his property. He was not able to locate it when I asked him to contain it. Today Gabriel called saying found the vulture on a deer carcass. Upon my arrival the bird was still on the carcass and easily caught. It appeared to have a right wind injury with swelling and blood at the right elbow. Keel score about 3. The bird was transported to our I.C.U. for triage.

Volunteer Louie L

Triage found an  open wound, activitly bleeding, a compound fracture of the elbow and no extension of the wing. The bird was humanely euthanized due to poor prognosis.
